Log Cabin Sunrise And Set

~Winter sunset at the cabin
Every day since the beginning of time, the sun has risen and the sun has set and most of the time I've taken it for granted. I was up early several days last week and although it was colder outside than a well digger's tail pipe, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of watching the world around me come to life as the sun made it's daily appearance.

Sunset is no less amazing and colorful. Depending on your vantage point, the sunset is often times the best part of the day. I love the shadows created by the setting sun and the way it changes the look and feel of the landscape.

Each day's sunrise and sunset may look different from yesterday's depending on your vantage point. Variety is the spice of life as they say and this becomes evident with the open and close of each day.

If you're like most folks and are more likely to catch the sunset than the sunrise, consider making it point to wake up a little earlier one day soon, get a cup of coffee and go outside if you can to observe what happens when the sun comes up. Focus on the light, the colors and the sounds. It's likely your day will start on a positive note.
